It’s been a rough year for a lot of people. Covid has changed the world a lot, and I’m sure for a lot of people it has been stressful and at times downright frightening.
Like many of you I sat glued to the TV watching every worst-case scenario play across the news until finally I couldn’t take it anymore, I had to switch it off.
As much as I tried to stay focussed on writing the sequel to Stealing Stars I struggled.
Not only did the pandemic, home schooling, and a fear of what was happening in the world make it harder to stay on track I had other personal things going on.
I have a close family member whose health deteriorate before the pandemic hit and it just got worse. There were more than a few times I dreaded the call to tell me the worst possible news. It has been like riding a rollercoaster, the up and the down and not knowing what was coming.
Thankfully and for the time being, my family member is stable, and I have hope for the future.
My prayers go out to anyone who has lost a loved one or been deeply affected by the pandemic.
This was the longest it has ever taken for me to finish a book. It was difficult to concentrate and allow myself to feel the emotions necessary for the sequel, Stealing Hearts.
But I’m happy to let you guys know I’m busy wrapping up the final chapters and I hope it will be ready to pre-order soon. As soon as it is available, I will let you know.
This is the cover if you haven’t already seen it.
